One possible explanation for why Yi-Phan 
disappeared from in front of her computer, as seen here - [link] .
She played City of Heroes and World of Warcraft (neither of which I've played), spending so much time in their worlds that the game characters decided she should spend even more time with them... though obviously not the way she might have preferred.
The lady in black is a character of hers from City of Heroes, and the elf is from World of Warcraft, both leaving Yi in the middle of this field (also from WoW) for any lucky passerby to discover.
WoW stuff belongs to Blizzard Entertainment.
